Good morning, good afternoon, or good evening depending on what time you’re watching this video. I’m Rachael Goldsworthy and I’m on the drive home to the Hawkesbury and it is officially the school holidays. During the school holidays, what do we all look for? We look for inspiration and activities for the kids to do. What I’ve done is I’ve put together a list of activities to do within the Hawkesbury that should be a little bit of fun for the kids to get involved with. I’m Rachael Goldsworthy, and I’m on the drive home to the Hawkesbury, just checking in with everybody. It’s the 30th of June, 2016, end of financial year. Can’t believe the year’s going so quickly, can you?

Anyway, just wanted to make sure that you’ve got all your claimables, receipts, expenses, those sorts of things off to your accountant so that they can prepare your tax return for you, and equally, when sending out our landlord end of financial year statements to them so that they can send that to their accountants to prepare their tax return. If you have any questions in regards to your investment property, being a landlord, thinking about getting an investment property, I’m always happy to talk about property with you. The latest research shows that “it takes longer to become a qualified barista than a Licensed Real Estate Agent”, isn’t that a scary thought.

Before hiring an agent, I feel it is really important for a consumer to research their chosen agent. Enthusiasm is great however I believe Experience + Enthusiasm is the winning combination.

Outstanding Tenant Award – Congratulations to Angie & Jason from South Windsor

Congratulations to Angie and Jason from South Windsor for winning this month’s Outstanding Tenant Award! After experiencing a problem with their lock mechanism, they saved costs for the owner of the property by taking this apart and fixing this themselves at no cost to our landlord. They are off to the movies for not only fixing the lock however also always keeping their home immaculately presented. We are so lucky we have so many fantastic tenants, we wish all our tenants the best of luck for next month’s award.

Never, Never, Never Give Up…

Sometimes when we are looking for that perfect home we can become despondent with the process. You know how the story goes…you have looked at 10 homes each week for the last month and nothing seems to suit.

The house always looks fantastic in the photographs, is the right price, but when you get there it is under power lines…the list goes on. I am sure you may have experienced this or perhaps seen friends or family go through this process.

When searching for that perfect home, if there is one piece of advice that I would offer you and that is a saying my father has shared and I love,…”Never, never, never give up”.

Often we come so, so close to our goal of home ownership, personal, professional or financial, or whatever you may be striving for in your life, but we simply just give up.

Sometimes things won’t always work out the way you want, but don’t give up, stay determined and maintain that laser beam focus on what it is you want to achieve.

When you don’t give up, you cannot fail.
