Episode #26 The Drive Home to the Hawkesbury with Rachael Goldsworthy – Gas Hot Water

27 June, 2016 · Posted by Rachael Goldsworthy

Good morning, good afternoon, or good evening, depending on when you’re watching this video. It’s Rachael Goldsworthy on the drive home to Hawkesbury, and just checking in with you. A question that we had in regards to a tenant who just moved into a property, which I thought I’d share. It’s a fairly simple question, however sometimes it’s the simple things that are the hardest to work out.

This tenant moved into the property and they went to use the gas appliances and there was no gas. They thought that they may have run out of gas, so they ordered more gas, and what it turned out to be: the hot water services wasn’t working because the gas pilot light had gone out on there. Always check the gas pilot light before worrying as to whether you’ve run out of gas or those sorts of things. It can be a fairly simple fix, as they say, but one of those things that can be sorted out very quickly.

Anyway, have a great day, and I look forward to catching up with you on the next video. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to give me a call, always love to talk about property.

World Environment Day – 5 June

2 June, 2016 · Posted by Rachael Goldsworthy

World Environment Day
World Environment Day (WED) is one of the United Nations’ most important days for encouraging worldwide awareness and action for the protection of our environment. Since it began in 1974, it has grown to become a global platform for public outreach that is widely celebrated in over 100 countries.

WED 2015 saw a total of 2,861 registered activities with 1.26 million people participating worldwide. Please register your activity so we can feature it on our WED Community Map and inspire others to join in.

The theme for this year is:

GO WILD FOR LIFE
ZERO TOLERANCE FOR THE ILLEGAL WILDLIFE TRADE

This year in support of #GoWildforLife we will be supporting the National Zoo and Aquarium. The National Zoo & Aquarium contributes heavily to a large number of breeding programs that can help save a number of animals from extinction. They also raise money to donate to a number of local and overseas conservation initiatives and charities. You can help by becoming a member or by adopting an animal by clicking here like we did.

Join me in support of World Environment Day to ensure we help maintain this beautiful planet we have the privilege to inhabit.

Look out for the Salvos this weekend

Rachael Goldsworthy Realty | Red Shield Appeal

The Red Shield Appeal is The Salvation Army’s signature fundraising drive which helps fund a vast network of social and community services.

The Red Shield Doorknock is held on the last weekend in May. The appeal began in 1965 and is promoted under the red shield symbol. Each year The Salvation Army appeals to the Australian community to ensure they can give hope where it is needed most through their social welfare and community service programs.

These programs are relied upon by vulnerable Australians every single day. They range from providing shelter for the homeless, assisting families in crisis through practical support and financial counselling, to guiding people with addictions through to a clean, healthy lifestyle.

The appeal invites all Australians – individuals and businesses – to be their partners in mission.

I hope you will join me in supporting the Salvos this weekend.

Planning on inspecting properties this week? Read my quick tips below on buying your dream home…Choosing a home to buy can be a daunting task, particularly if you have never bought a property before. Trying to determine which home is right for you can be helped by asking a few key questions as below.

Start the process by inspecting a selection of shortlisted properties that meet your buying criteria.

Once this is done, rate the features and benefits of each home against one another, include things like location, amenities and price.

Sometimes when buying it is difficult to take the emotion out of the purchase and following the above step will help alleviate this concern and provide a good start as to which home may stand out on your short list.

Want to know more?  Click here for my 10 top tips when purchasing a home.

If I don’t see you at a property on Saturday, have a great week and don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions, always happy to help.
