Episode #25 The Drive Home to the Hawkesbury with Rachael Goldsworthy – Inspecting Open Homes in the Rain

22 June, 2016 · Posted by Rachael Goldsworthy

Good morning, good afternoon, or good evening depending on what time you’re watching this video. Rachael Goldsworthy just checking in with you from the Hawkesbury, and wanted to say in regards to all of the rain that we’ve had lately, it’s a really good time to have a look at houses when it has been raining. Reason being, you can see whether it’s water tight, what the drainage is like, what the fall on the property’s like that may not necessarily be apparent if it is a dry day out there. Anyway, just thought I’d just check in and let you know that. Any questions, don’t hesitate to give me a call, always happy to help and talk about property. 45-77-9964, we’ll catch up with you soon.

World Environment Day – 5 June

2 June, 2016 · Posted by Rachael Goldsworthy

World Environment Day
World Environment Day (WED) is one of the United Nations’ most important days for encouraging worldwide awareness and action for the protection of our environment. Since it began in 1974, it has grown to become a global platform for public outreach that is widely celebrated in over 100 countries.

WED 2015 saw a total of 2,861 registered activities with 1.26 million people participating worldwide. Please register your activity so we can feature it on our WED Community Map and inspire others to join in.

The theme for this year is:

GO WILD FOR LIFE
ZERO TOLERANCE FOR THE ILLEGAL WILDLIFE TRADE

This year in support of #GoWildforLife we will be supporting the National Zoo and Aquarium. The National Zoo & Aquarium contributes heavily to a large number of breeding programs that can help save a number of animals from extinction. They also raise money to donate to a number of local and overseas conservation initiatives and charities. You can help by becoming a member or by adopting an animal by clicking here like we did.

Join me in support of World Environment Day to ensure we help maintain this beautiful planet we have the privilege to inhabit.

Look out for the Salvos this weekend

26 May, 2016 · Posted by Rachael Goldsworthy

Rachael Goldsworthy Realty | Red Shield Appeal

The Red Shield Appeal is The Salvation Army’s signature fundraising drive which helps fund a vast network of social and community services.

The Red Shield Doorknock is held on the last weekend in May. The appeal began in 1965 and is promoted under the red shield symbol. Each year The Salvation Army appeals to the Australian community to ensure they can give hope where it is needed most through their social welfare and community service programs.

These programs are relied upon by vulnerable Australians every single day. They range from providing shelter for the homeless, assisting families in crisis through practical support and financial counselling, to guiding people with addictions through to a clean, healthy lifestyle.

The appeal invites all Australians – individuals and businesses – to be their partners in mission.

I hope you will join me in supporting the Salvos this weekend.

Enthusiasm or Experience Wins?

20 May, 2016 · Posted by Rachael Goldsworthy

The latest research shows that “it takes longer to become a qualified barista than a Licensed Real Estate Agent”, isn’t that a scary thought.

Before hiring an agent, I feel it is really important for a consumer to research their chosen agent. Enthusiasm is great however I believe Experience + Enthusiasm is the winning combination.

Have a great weekend whatever you are doing and if you need a little Real Estate Experience + Enthusiasm don’t hesitate to call me (02) 4577 9964.

Is your Pool going to pass new rules?

29 April, 2016 · Posted by Rachael Goldsworthy

Does your pool comply?

Did you know the new legislation for swimming pools and spas starts 29th April, 2016?

This may affect the buying or leasing process for you and I thought I would share the simplified version of the changes to keep you up to date. The new law requires that prior to sale (auction or private treaty) or lease a valid certificate of compliance or non-compliance be attached to the Contract for Sale of Residential Tenancy Agreement.

If a Vendor or Landlord owns a pool or spa and does not have a compliance certificate attached to their respective contracts, that contract may be deemed invalid.
