I have been approached by Channel 7 – House Rules. They are currently casting for the next series of “House Rules”. They said:-

“We are looking for teams of two who own a home desperately in need of renovation. A not-for-profit organisation dedicated to encouraging all people to regularly and meaningfuly ask ‘are you ok?’ to support anyone struggling with life.
What is R U OK?Day?

A national day of action on the second Thursday of September (11 September 2014), dedicated to reminding people to regularly check in with family and friends.
When was the first R U OK?Day?

2009 Launched at Parliament House, Canberra.
How can a conversation change a life?

Research shows that people who have strong relationships are less likely to consider suicide as an option when struggling with life. Regular, face-to-face conversations can help us to build and maintain strong relationships with friends and family.
Who can take part on R U OK?Day?

Anyone who knows someone struggling with life. If you’re not sure – still ask!
How can I start a conversation?

Check out our tips for connecting with someone or watch our stories of inspiration.
Who does the R U OK? Foundation work with?

Experts in suicide prevention and mental illness, government departments, corporate leaders, teachers, universities, students and community groups.
Who funds the organisation?

The Australian Government, our sponsors, our supporters, and the countless individuals who have donated time, money or asked the question of people in their lives.

Our funders respect our autonomy and right to determine the scope of our activities.
