Clarendon Classic Machinery Rally – Working Antique Machinery – Clarendon
The annual Clarendon Classic Machinery Rally event (19th & 20th September 2015 – Saturday & Sunday 9am – 3pm) is a fun weekend where you can see plenty of antique machinery.
Snippets from Sydney Antique Machinery Club ~ Clarendon Classic 2012 – What to Expect
“Two day event including restored tractors, and stationary engines, vintage cars, trucks, bikes, antique tools. Implement demonstrations with machinery of days gone by. Great family day. Kids amusement rides. Food and drinks available all weekend.
Features for 2014 are any and all British machines, plus anniversaries of Deutz engines at 150 years, and Dodge Bros. vehicles at 100 years.
There are single cylinder engines chugging away plus big diesels roaring and up to a V16.
There’s free fun rides for the kids, tractor pulls, food and collectors stalls, and over 250 Trucks attended last year.
There’s also the usual contingent of antique and classic trucks, cars, and tractors.
It’s a great weekend for the family right next to Clarendon Railway Station (where on the Saturday there will be a Steam train for travel to Richmond and back).
Every year there are themes for the machinery that is of particular interest. For 2014 that’s 100 years of Dodge Brothers, 150 years of Deutz engines, and also Everything British. There’s a tractor and vehicle trek Sunday morning around the district.”

R U OK?
In the busy lives we lead I think days like today are important to remember our family and friends and check in and say R U OK?
Let me know if U R OK or if we can help you now or in the future.
Have a great day.
Rachael 🙂

“In 1995, much-loved Barry Larkin was far from ok. His suicide left family and friends in deep grief and with endless questions.
In 2009, his son Gavin Larkin chose to champion just one question to honour his father and to try and protect other families from the pain his endured.
Are you ok?
While collaborating with Janina Nearn on a documentary to raise awareness, the team quickly realized the documentary alone wouldn’t be enough.
To genuinely change behaviour Australia-wide, a national campaign was needed. And from this realisation, and with Gavin and Janina’s expertise and passion, R U OK? was born.
Gavin remained a passionate champion of the fact a conversation could change a life, even as cancer ended his in 2011.
His and Janina’s legacy is ensuring all Australians realise a little question can make a big difference to those people struggling with life.”
