National Trust’s Heritage Festival

19 April, 2012 · Posted by Rachael Goldsworthy

Living and working in the Hawkesbury, having opportunities to visit heritage homes allows me to appreciate my heritage even more.

As part of the National Trust’s Heritage Festival there will be an open home at 74 The Terrace, Windsor on Sunday, 15 April, 2012.  The cost will be $15 per person which includes a devonshire tea. Proceeds from the day will be donated towards the re-roofing of the bell tower at St Matthew’s Anglican Church.

Enjoy learning more about the great district we live in and get involved.  Tour times are 1pm, 2pm, 3pm, 4pm with gates opening at 12:45pm.  Bookings are essential by phoning Helen on 4577 6677.

I look forward to seeing you there.

Rachael 🙂

Rachael sells Windsor Bridge for $5.9 Million

1 April, 2012 · Posted by Rachael Goldsworthy

Rachael Goldsworthy has successfully sold Windsor Bridge to an until now undisclosed buyer for AUD $5.9 million.

Donald Trump’s most Senior Advisor recently inspected Windsor Bridge, many believe looking to add to the Trump portfolio of his bridge real estate.

“The benefits for residents of Windsor and surrounding suburbs are outstanding,” said Donald Trump via phone this morning.

Others believe Paris Hilton may have been the real purchaser. She recently landed in Australia and was spotted near Windsor Bridge before heading to Windsor Seafoods to indulge in Fish & Chips.

I’m sure all local people will be delighted by our potential new residents!

Enjoy your first day of April!

Rachael 😉

Some things just keep getting better with age…

18 January, 2012 · Posted by Rachael Goldsworthy

Betty White is celebrating her 90th birthday today. When I was growing up watching the television sitcom “The Golden Girls” was my first introduction to her acting skills…I still have a chuckle watching that show if there is a re-run on t.v.  White was just 63 when she landed the role that really made her a household name: Rose on Golden Girls. And she just seems to get better with age.

The same is true for some homes, especially Heritage Homes.  In the Hawkesbury, we are very lucky to have a considerable number of heritage homes dating from as late as 1800s to the early 1900s which formed part of original farms and dairys etc.

These homes not only have street appeal but their gardens have had the time to develop and mature to a beautiful collection of plants over the years.

This street appeal and established gardens are always a winner with buyers as they can move straight in.  Equally, sellers enjoy a premium price from the combination of those two items alone.

Happy Birthday Betty from everyone in the Hawkesbury!

Rachael 🙂
