South Windsor is located 60 kilometres north west of Sydney and is bounded by the City-Richmond rail line on the North, the suburb of Bligh Park on the south while South Creek and Windsor Downs lie to its east and Rickaby’s Creek borders it on the west. The areas with larger retailers like Windsor and Richmond are just a 10-minute drive while Penrith, Rouse Hill and Castle Hill are within a drive of 20-25 minutes.

South Windsor Public, Bede Bolding College and Chisholm Catholic Primary are the schools around along with other preschools and day care centres. The Oasis Swim Centre, Hawkesbury Netball complex, Hawkesbury Indoor Centre and Windsor Country Golf club are the sporting facilities available in the area.

There are many events and activities in the surrounding suburbs. There are farmers markets where you will find a variety of fresh produce. There are shopping malls, a wide range of restaurants, museums and other yearly events which take place in the neighbouring suburbs of Windsor and Richmond. There are also beautiful parks, guided bushwalks and art galleries around to keep you busy over the weekends. Although South Windsor doesn’t have any night life, there are many pubs in the neighbouring areas in case you want to let you hair down once in a while.
